A practical guide to Oregon stormwater maintenance PORTLAND METRO · OREGON
CLACKAMAS WATER ENVIRONMENT SERVICES

Clackamas WES
stormwater guidance.

Water Environment Services has an annual stormwater system inspection and cleaning reporting process for facilities within its service area.

A PRACTICAL CHECKLIST

Where to start

01

Confirm your property is in the WES service area

Do not assume all of Clackamas County uses the same annual reporting process. Confirm your property is covered by WES and identify any site-specific obligations.

02

Arrange the annual inspection

WES states that privately owned stormwater systems must be inspected annually and that an inspection report must be submitted to WES.

03

Record cleaning and repairs

If cleaning, maintenance or repairs are performed, WES requires them to be included in the inspection report.

04

Complete the official report

Use the WES reporting form to enter facility details, inspection dates, structures inspected and corrective work performed.

05

Keep your records

Save submitted reports, invoices and any instructions from WES for future inspections and follow-up.

When should I send the report?

WES instructs affected owners to submit the annual report before December 31 each year. See our step-by-step reporting guide and verify the requirement for your specific property.
